What determines your price

How many people you're developing.

A focused manager cohort costs less than a company-wide AI fluency rollout.

How much is custom-built.

Custom cohort programs and tailored AI Simulations carry more design time than classes we already run.

Frequently asked questions

How big should a private class be?

For most classes we recommend 20 to 40 people. The right number depends on how interactive the session is and what it covers. Topics built around practice, candid discussion or live feedback need a group small enough that everyone gets to speak. A briefing or an introductory session can run much larger without losing anything.

‍

We set an upper limit of 120, roughly four times what most providers allow, and most classes run well below it. Private classes are one flat rate regardless of how many people join, so 100 people costs the same as 20 and you never have to decide who gets left out of a session to protect the budget. Tell us the topic and who needs to be in the room and we'll recommend a size that fits. If you need to go past 120, ask us.

Can we start smaller?

Yes. Every program is modular. Many companies start with an AI Fluency + Culture Assessment or a manager development program, see where the real gaps are and build from there.

What if our priorities change mid-year?

They usually do, which is why you commit to credits rather than to topics. Your credits work for any private class in our library, so you lock in your price up front and choose the subject matter later, once you know what the year actually looks like. You can also shift budget between private classes, memberships, cohort programs and AI Simulations as the business moves. Most of our clients change their L&D focus year over year, and the program is built to absorb that.

How does this compare to building the program internally?

Internally built programs cost 4 to 10 times more than what Electives costs. The visible cost is instructional design hours. The costs that get missed are SME time pulled from day jobs, facilitator development, project management and the refresh cycle required to keep AI content current, which with AI comes around far more often than once a year. Electives programs are ready to deploy at scale immediately, with no build phase. Our instructors update their own material continuously, so what your people learn reflects how the tools work that week.

How much work is this for my team?

Very little. We designed Electives for lean People teams. We handle scheduling, instructor sourcing, communications, registration, reminders and reporting. Vetting instructors is the piece that would eat the most of your time internally, and we’ve already done it — Electives is a curated platform and we keep only top instructors on it. Most clients spend a few hours a month on the program and their client success manager handles the rest. We act as a true extension of the People team, with nothing extra to manage.

How fast can we launch?

Most programs launch within two to three weeks of kickoff. There's no content build phase and no platform implementation, so your timeline is driven by your internal communications. Our vetted instructors are ready to incorporate your company’s values or specific context into the content they teach.

Do we need to replace our LMS?

No. Electives can run alongside your existing stack and can feed completion data into your LMS or HRIS.
