Insights from Ellen Raim, Founder of People MatterWe focus more on solving than preventing People problems.

Electives instructor Tony Lee, known for his passion for inclusive communication, was featured in an article on Muse by Clio about how he drew inspiration from his deaf parents to create an emotional Oscars spot, as part of a Google ad campaign.

Through poignant scenes and sign language, the ad reflects Tony's commitment to inclusivity and his desire to create meaningful communication experiences for all, driven by his firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by his parents.

Tony Lee is a designer, dad and unintentional advocate for accessibility in creative work. He is a senior designer at Google, where he shared a humble deck about his life as a CODA (“child of deaf adults”) in the hopes of sharing a perspective his team didn’t have. That deck was the inspiration for Tony’s commercial.
