What you will learn:

Leadership Storytelling is a method of communicating a complex idea in a clear and powerful way. Human beings learn from experience – their own and others – through stories. As leaders, we learn to use our own stories to communicate important messages to others. Stories create an indelible message and are a container for sharing one’s values, important life lessons, and the impact we have had on our clients.

In this 2-hour virtual session we will introduce you to the Why, How and What of storytelling. We will work through both the structure of a great story as well as what it takes to “be” a storyteller. In addition, we will introduce several narrative frameworks that can be used in a variety of presentation situations.

We will work on the following concepts and skills:
- The Why, How and What of Storytelling
- Values exploration and story identification
- Crafting and rehearsing a direct narrative story
- Narrative Structures

The first half of my career I traveled the globe delivering a unique, one-person variety show. (I studied tap dance with Gregory Hines, walked wires at the Boston World Trade Center, and am a great storyteller).

My parents were very happy when I became a lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Business School. My time in theater finally paid off! Many Fortune 500 companies like Astra Zeneca, Discover Financial Services and PepsiCo appreciate my unorthodox approach and commitment to helping grow their executives into inspirational leaders and communicators.
