With 17+ years’ experience across the biopharma, management consulting, military, financial, and transportation industries, Jen has gained organizational transformation and PMO expertise through leading global changes and integrations, founding departments, streamlining processes, optimizing resources, and enhancing teams’ capabilities. Currently at Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., post the $64B acquisition of Shire plc, Jen is the Global Manufacturing & Supply’s Strategic PMO Head. She is currently in charge of leading their largest program, spanning across 36 sites, 6 regions, and 6 portfolios including digital transformations and network optimizations.

Prior to this role, she led global integration for Shire’s Technical Operations. Objectives included completing 4 site divestitures, 500-employee transitions, 4 product transfers, and establishing 4 Global Centers of Excellence with a $300M+ capital budget.

Previously to joining Shire, she was a Senior Director at John Hancock Life Insurance Co. leading a 35-member PMO team of program managers and analysts. Her responsibilities included spearheading the change management activities to transition all US employees from waterfall project management practices to scaled Agile practices.

In her preceding position, Jen led 28 Project Managers as the PMO Head for Genzyme. Under her leadership, all 133 Consent Decree Remediation Projects were completed on time and within scope, successfully meeting FDA requirements. Among her achievements, she established a new PMO site which set the global benchmark for portfolio and data governance practices.

She gained her acquisition and program management skills while she was a Consultant at Deloitte and Booz Allen Hamilton. In place she led multimillion-dollar technology transformations and initiatives to improve supply chain management and financial policy. Notably, she led the contract management office through the solicitation and awarding of a $3.5B contract to Hewlett Packard to operate the world’s largest private IT network.

Jen started her career as a Captain in the US Air Force. While serving for six years, she earned 16 major USAF and regional level Leadership Awards, including ‘Officer-’ and ‘Program of the Year. She commanded an organization of 268+ personnel, managed 18 programs, 11 facilities (including 4 restaurants, a 256-room hotel, 2 fitness centers and a library), and provided a large variety of services accessed by 65K+ users.

Jen holds an MBA from MIT. During her time in this world-renowned facility, she inspired and motivated classmates who selected her as their Class Senator, she was praised by the Graduate School as their very first Executive EMBA to receive the “2019 MIT Graduate Women of Excellence Award”, and commended internationally when she was named in Poets & Quants “100 Best & Brightest Executive MBAs: Class of 2019.”

She also earned an MS degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, and a BS in Exercise Science (Kinesiology) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she played NCAA Division One soccer.

Jen holds certifications in Portfolio, Program (PgMP) and Project Management (PMP), Information Technology (ITILv3), Scrum (CSM), Product Ownership, Scaled Agile (SA), and Lean Six Sigma.
