What you will learn:
In this interactive Elective, participants will learn to share their own personal narratives in order to strengthen both soft and hard leadership skills like communication, interpersonal skills, flexibility/adaptability, and audio and visual presentation skills.
We'll begin with taking a deep dive into our personal narratives by examining the origin stories of our names - and how these connect with our racial, gender and class identities. We'll then take a deep dive into concepts related to DEIA like Intersectionality, Whiteness, Standpoint theory and more.
We'll end the course by spelling out realisitic and sustainable action steps to facilitate positive social change for those in leadership positions.
