What you will learn:
This Elective defines and explores the need for inclusive communication in the workplace and how it largely contributes to creating more equitable organizations. To set the foundation for the discussion, Dr. Bernard discusses various types of biases that inform our communication practices, then dives into language and behaviors in the workplace that create more awareness for the participants on how communication can drive change. Through exercises and self-reflection, Dr. Bernard invites participants to brainstorm and discuss concrete ways to invite change through equitable communication practices.
