What you will learn:

Using lessons from her bestselling book, First Pitch: Winning Money, Mentors, and More for Your Startup, this session presents simple and compelling frameworks that make it easier for any innovator to engage important stakeholders in their new idea. This session also features recommendations on how to work through the “softer” elements of the pitch process, such as building relationships, demonstrating coachability, and responding to feedback. Grounded in Debi’s experiences working in and with startups for over 15 years, running the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at #1 ranked Babson College, and leading branding and new product initiatives as an award-winning marketer, you’ll learn the secrets to clear, compelling communication to attract investors, advisors, corporate champions and more, ensuring success for your innovation. Open Q&A will follow at the end of the presentation.
You will gain insight and actionable advice to help you present with impact.
For a women's or other underrepresented group, a section can be added around unconscious bias and how to handle it.
