What you will learn:

How can leaders and teams in health care, medicine, policy, industry, and the community strategically promote health and well-being in the 21st century? What are the different kinds of public health interventions that can be implemented, and which strategies are backed by evidence to advance health and health equity? How can an evaluation plan be designed alongside an intervention to maximize measurement of progress, outcomes, and impact?

Dr. Wang will share her story of how she developed a community-based intervention targeting health behaviors and obesity to demonstrate strategic planning and intervention mapping to improve health outcomes. Participants will also learn tools for developing evaluation plans that correspond to public health or health care interventions and explore quantitative and qualitative approaches to measure effectiveness and improve programs and services.
