What you will learn:
The day you become a manager, you feel as if everyone suddenly expects you to have all of the answers. But alas, the promotion doesn’t come with any magical powers— you’re the same person you always were but now you have a fancier title. Don’t fret! Every person who’s ever made this transition feels the exact way you do now. And thankfully, there are many things you can do to quickly learn the ropes. In this Elective, we’ll talk about how to manage your new crazy workload, whether you should actually “fake it til you make it,” and how to gain the respect of your new team.
