What you will learn:

Feedback is one of the major cornerstones of a thriving, successful organization. The best managers and leaders are masters at giving feedback, both positive and negative, but most of us struggle to do it well. In this session, Emily will discuss first and foremost why giving feedback is so pivotal to the success of a team and company, why giving tough feedback is so difficult and ways to make it more comfortable, and actionable ways to build a culture of transparent, non-threatening feedback in your organization. We will talk about different types of feedback, including interpersonal feedback, how to improve the quality and consistency of the feedback you give even if you’re already adept at it, and ways that giving feedback often goes wrong.

About the instructor:

Emily started her career as a lawyer, but soon transitioned into legal recruiting and then broader HR. She went on to join Signifyd in 2016, where she has focused on implementing a goal-driven, proactive, human-centric HR strategy across their entire global workforce. Emily’s experience is primarily with companies who are in growth mode and looking to hire and retain talent to help them scale. She is skilled at building cultures that foster high performing, motivated, engaged teams.
